Agreement Between Teams
Step 3: Create your team chords Once you have all the voices, look for cards with the most voices. Those who won all the votes are definitely part of the team agreements. For those who don`t have a consensus (all votes), ask the team members who didn`t vote for them if they can support them anyway and live democratically. And for those with few voices, prioritize and have a conversation. Most of the time, these elements are either contained in something else that has already entered into the team agreements, or they are modified and then modified in the final document. In the end, each participant signs the document as a symbol of respect for the team`s social contract. If you opt for a teamwork agreement, the most important thing is to make sure your team is fully involved in the whole process. Cover personal and technical behaviors Some team agreements deal more with technical practices (e.g. B.dem “Don`t put code in production on Fridays” mentioned earlier, while others focus on principles that the team considers true, for example: “Give the person performance feedback before talking to someone else about their performance.” Your teamwork agreement must be easily accessible and accessible to all team members. It`s easy to forget something you`ve only seen once in a meeting. Find creative ways to bring key elements of your agreement within reach of your team in a consistent way. One of the ways to do this is to create some kind of mural in the main work area where the instructions are displayed.
