Enterprise Agreement Notre Dame
The old agreement expired eighteen months ago and talks for a new agreement have been ongoing for two years, without much having happened. If you would like more information on professional negotiations, please do not hesitate to contact the NTEU Macquarie Branch Office (Ext 7643 or [email protected]) or one of the NTEU Professional Staff Bargaining teams: Benjamin Dougall, Rob Davies, Nikki Balnave, Robbie Miller and Cathy Rytmeister. If you would like us to hold a union meeting at your workplace to discuss the progress/issues of company negotiations, please do not hesitate to contact the establishment and we will set it up. NTEU Macquarie Branch is working to have the new professional employee agreement approved by Fair Work before Christmas. This means that we want a meeting of members on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. After the approval vote, the agreement will be put to the vote of all staff members during the week from 10 December 2018. This gives us a unique opportunity to reorient the expiration dates of academic and professional staff agreements. It is important that this means that we will finally be able to reunite negotiations between academic and professional staff in the next cycle in order to give members a much greater and more effective voice within this institution. Although not known*, the corporate bargaining system is inspired by the work of Samuel Becket, as shown by lectures and lectures at the University of Notre Dame Australia. The conditions of employment at the UTS are set by various laws, collective agreements, customary law and university police, practice and statutes. .
