Guelph Hydro Collective Agreement
All CUPE members work under the protection of a contract called a collective agreement. Your local union negotiates the terms of the agreement. Elected local union leaders also work with the employer to resolve issues in the workplace. If you have questions about your rights at work, the best person you can talk to is your local steward or executive. You will know the specific details of your agreement. The work program updates at the end of each month a list of collective agreements inherited from previous years, which includes 500 or more workers in provincial courts and 100 or more workers in federal courts. The university and USW Local 4120 ratified their renewal collective agreement on September 14, 2020. Please register to access USW Local 4120 Memorandum of Agreement. If you would like a hard copy of your collective agreement, please speak to your steward. The university recognizes the United Steelworkers (USW) as exclusive and exclusive negotiators for all employees of the interviewee who employ much of their work on their Guelph campus or normally perform it.
Specifically, USW represents staff who perform administrative and technical roles throughout the university. CUPE 3913 is the union that represents teaching assistants (Unit 1) and sessional lecturers (Unit 2) at the University of Guelph. . . .
